The home is the element in this exhibition connecting my art and my architectural work. During my studies in the 1960s at the Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago, there was an equal balance between Interior Design and Sculpture. Later, while working in design and architecture, I wrote for the national press and also conducted radio talks on home design. I always continued to sculpt. In this exhibition I examine, for the first time, what were the reciprocal influences between the two activities. Was the source of the square sculptures standing in the exhibition to be found in the plans of the homes I designed?Close Window
